Safe ain’t left me sound
so step up and get your pound
in jest, I’ll bury the rest
where you can’t see
the soil shifting
feel the floorboards lifting
‘cause gifts are rarely given
unless you paid your fee
to the cynic
for free is just a gimmick
And me? I ain’t no critic
just and inverted Philistine
who’s collapse,
just might perhaps
spell the prolapse
of a lesson worth learning.

I don’t expect anything
That can’t be carried on a breeze
And when it comes down to me,it’s all or nothing...please.

I’ll embrace my comeuppance.
Welcome those who punish
every transgression
with a couple of their own
volition, a salivating mission,
but salvations missing
and I just can’t atone
to my judges,
condone ancient grudges,
be shown where the love is
by those who never known
forgiveness and couldn’t bear to witness
a world that won’t submit to the flags they have flown.
